Smiley for internetlings.com here with another energy report. The average price for a gallon of gasoline has risen to $3.80. The production costs associated with extraction of oil and natural gas has exploded over the past decade. We all know that the best source of energy for transportation is the sun. Through the food we eat, solar energy captured by plants provides all the juice needed for people to keep their bodies running.

The demand for the respect of alternatives that use renewable resources has taken to the streets. In 100s of cities across the world, Critical Mass has brought together cyclists for the cause. Many of the riders choose to ride naked. So if you choose to become a part of this movement you may find yourself riding behind boldly beautiful bare butt cheeks.

Food, clothes and shelter: some of the basic human rights. What about the right to affordable access to your workplace? What is going to happen when the cost of gas is so expensive that even public transportation is no longer a viable way to get to work.

The collaborative economy is making BIG MOVES. There are people around the world finding ways to fund their creative projects. To get their work done and find time to put more loving care and energy into what they produce.

It's not just Kickstarter kids, the free press and it%u2019s supporters are everywhere. Internetlings can find all the news and entertainment that they want for free. Some are heralding this as the DEATH OF THE NEWSPAPER. We can see some of the extraordinary lengths the BIG GUYS have gone to in order to stay relevant in this New Marketplace.

FOX, associated with News Corporation owned by Rupert Murdoch, has been under fire.
They've been scrutinized for some of their illegal practices, such as wiretapping phones.
The British parliament recently made a statement that Murdoch is "UNFIT" to run the company.

So what does this say about the alternative? For all those freelance tele-commuters, tapping on those keys, up late burning the midnight oil. Well, the next time you are doing that, remember you are still burning the midnight coal.

Most of the energy in the United States still comes from coal. This energy is obtained through very dirty processes. Mountain top removal is the process of extracting coal by leveling the top of a mountain to get to the hard to reach raw materials. There are communities whose watersheds have been destroyed by the debris created by this messy process. Natural gas can also serve as a way of generating electricity but some of these methods are even worse. Hydro-fracking uses clean water and chemicals to break up the rough shale deep below the earths surface. The natural gas that rises can be captured, contained and used to generate electricity. If you want to learn more about the debate see the links below.
